I don't have power to my Nexdome, everything is battery powered. Can the shutter be powered by a detachable lithium battery such as https://www.celestron.com/products/powertank-lithium-lt?_pos=4&_sid=9348f72ea&_ss=r . My dome is in my garden but 40m from any electric supply.

Actually I was more interested in whether the battery can be removed easily and recharged elsewhere, or a different battery used. I don't have electricity in my Nexdome and use Celestron Lithium batteries to power everything except my laptop (on its own battery).
If I understand your question, you're asking if you can recharge the shutter motor battery using another battery. That is a question for Dakota Lithium, the maker of the shutter motor battery. As a minium I would think you'd need at least 24 volt battery with higher amperage to do this. The battery in the shutter motor is a LiFePO 12v 7amp.
My gut is telling me that you'd possibly end up with two partially charged batteries.
Please let us know what you find out.
