I have the shutter/rotator motor kits with the integrated rain sensor, running Beaver. It was working great until I spilled some Goof-Off on the lens, which triggered the shutter to close. While I was waiting for a new lens I disconnected the Hydreon data cable from the Rotator motor and after a few minutes upon opening the shutter it would close. I fixed this by turning off the shutter motor power switch. I have no other devices running in the dome, everything (computer and mount) is turned off except the dome and shutter power.
Today I installed a brand-new lens, per Hydreon instructions, and the shutter is still closing on its own regardless if it's open partially or all the way open. Battery voltage is good at 13.1 volts after opening. Auto close is set to 11.5 volts.
Any suggestions.
Steven
I'm having a similar issue as well with a new NexDome build I've completed over the past 3 weeks. My shutter after being opened, either part way or all the way will start to auto close after about 3 minutes. I have to turn off the power to the shutter motor to prevent this. I hope there is a known solution for the fix.
