I saw a forum post on Prism software site that had a post from Ron about getting AAG to work for dome automation.
I think it might be Ron Kramer? Was that you bud?
anyway, if that Ron is around, I think your post said you got it to work and I was wondering about it.
1) how did you connect Nexdome? I can only get it to work if I select Poth Hub but would rather connect directly to the ascom driver. If I connect directly to the ascom driver it says no shutter connected, and gives random memory errors every few minutes. With Poth Hub running it looks like it might work but for me the fewer programs running the better.
2) with the AAG, does your tab inside Prism relate the data for you? Mine says it connects successfully but for all the data displays it says ā???ā
3) have you run unattended with AAG controlling the opening/ shutting of the dome?
Hope Ron or somebody sees this who has used Prism/ Nexdome/ AAG
thanks- Dave
I don't use SkyX so you may be right - otherwise I didn't like voyager. It wasn't for me. Nice thing about NINA - install it and try it and run voyager instead. I can run the app I want to try without needing to uninstall or trash the others. Several of my friends like voyager.
Thanks for the info. Iām considering NINA or Voyager. I like voyager because it interfaces so well with TheSkyX. Prism was ok but had to use so many other helper programs and the interface for Voyager is much better.
I recommend scrapping Prism. It didn't pan out for me. LUCKILY before I bought it. I was SO CLOSE. N.I.N.A is the capture program of choice. And thank you very much IT'S FREE! I use the ascom hub (new one) connect my mount and dome and slave). I then use NINA (which works with Stellarium) and everything is perfect from there. We have a N.I.N.A facebook group (join us). We also have a Nexdome Fb group. Some people hate fb, but find (make an account and make your page PRIVATE) only youc an see it. Then take advantage of the great groups on there. I use the hub so NINA and AAG can connect to the dome. Else the dome is limited to one connection. You should also be using Tim's new firmware and 3.1 or so - driver version. If the AAG reports unsafe - The dome will home and close. It's been wondering. NINA is quite new - GROWING nightly.
