I was doing some work On my new shutter install and I came across a problem. when I told the dome to home from about 245 degrees, it started home but then started skipping the gear on the track. i noticed one wheel was caught on a joint between panels. I helped it by hand and it tracked toward home, but then got stuck again. This happened a couple times.
Has anybody had to fill the underside of the dome in between the panel joints with putty or some kind of filler to smooth it out so the wheels don’t get stuck?
Or or maybe find some way to press the gear harder into the track to make it harder for it to skip out?
I've posted a fix for this that spring loads the drive cog against the belt in the "Modifications" forum. This completely eliminates the problem.
