This seems to be happening a lot lately. No other devices are losing connections to the PC.
Any suggestions for how to diagnose or resolve this would be much appreciated. I'm losing many hours of data during the night when this happens.

If it's connected via USB, I would start by replacing the cable with a high quality USB cable.
