Dome Cover

Hello Everyone,

I am just starting my dome build. I saw soom posts about the water in the gutters. I was thinking of getting one of NexDome's covers.

If anyone has one does it help keep water out of the gutter? The pics on the site make it look like it will just wanted some feedback from someone that owns one.

I did order the cover. I also posted this to Cloudy Nights & someone there has the cover & said it keeps the water out of the gutter.

I didn't think to ask how hard it is to put on. I'll post here with how it works out. My first guess would be some sort of weight on a string attach to the cover throw it over the dome then pull...slowly.

Please do provide a description of the on and off process. With the amount of time, money for materials and frustration to fill the troughs with either spray foam, cut and shape, or Hydrocal then cover with Flex Seal Tape then paint I think buying the cover may have been the ticket.

Since it's been a few days since you posted, I'm guessing no-one here has purchased the cover. I considered the cover but then remembered the pain it is to put on an umbrella cover, so I started to fill in the water catcher areas. I've been working on that for a couple of weeks and will post photos soon in that thread.

If you do buy the cover, please let us know what you think and how easy it is to install.
