Hello, for those with the new shutter system, what are you doing to weatherproof the door in the closed position? I see a good amount of overlap between the two panels, and the panel seems to have good resistance to water penetrating the front of the dome, but up top, I can't help but feel this design lacks a good solution to letting driving rain in.
The gap there is about 1". While I have a little overlap and it has rained, anything like the hurricane I just experienced is going to have a significant amount of water entering the dome...
My best advise would be to run don't walk and get as far away from anything NexDome as possible. You would find it difficult to believe what my research has revealed. To bad I did not know what I KNOW NOW BEFORE I PURCHASED. MINE IS DEFECTIVE IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP AND NEXDOME IS IN VIOLATION OF THE WARRANTY AND REFUSES ANY SUPPORT. IF YOU UPSET THEM YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF IN THE SAME POSITION. MY ONLY HOPE NOW IS THAT VISA UPHOLDS MY DISPUTE.
