Hi,
I have a used nexDome with upgraded rotation tracks. I have installed the wall, dome as well as the rotation tracks.
When I tried to install the rotation motor, the tension coupler doesn't seem to connect both ends at the same height as mentioned in the instruction (see uploaded picture rotation_manual.png). The wheel centre is higher than the hole on the plate. I can't lift the motor as the rim of the metal frame runs into the track and I can't lower the wheel as it's holding the dome (see rotation_motor.png). Is there a recommended solution to this?
I see on NexDome website the current rotation motor has a smaller box and wonder if that prevents it from touching the tracks.
Thanks,
Chen
I'll comment since no one else has. First, the gear can be adjusted height wise on the shaft loosen the gub screw and pull it up. Second the motor mounting plate needs to be vertical, (it's not shown, I base this on the angle of the motor) if it is not vertical, shimmed it out. If this is not the case use a longer tension coupler.
