Old Controller Goes Berserk

I bought a used NexDome with the old/original rotation controller (no shutter motor). After figuring out which controller it is and updating the firmware in it I was able to connect to it and get the motor to move. However, after a while it goes berserk and starts making random movements on its own. Any suggestions?
